Thesis, antithesis, synthesis - The notion of thesis, antithesis, synthesis was developed by the German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (although he never used the terms himself). It is part of an analysis of historical and philosophical progress called the Hegelian dialectic.
